Report all COVID-19 symptoms

Dear Undergraduate Students,

We are seeing a troubling rise in the number of COVID-19 cases among students on the Danforth Campus, and many of these cases are coming from large or small unmasked gatherings where at least one person was COVID-positive and didn’t know it. You can see a list of gatherings that have led to clusters of cases at the bottom of the COVID-19 dashboard. Some of these individuals had mild symptoms, but thought they were normal seasonal allergies. It is very important for you to know that any symptom, no matter how mild, should be treated as a possible sign of COVID-19.

If you are experiencing any symptoms, do not ignore them or chalk them up to allergies. COVID-19 is present in our community and highly contagious. Call us at Habif at 314-935-6666 or contact the COVID Call Center at 314-362-5056 for guidance and to arrange for testing as needed.

We know this is difficult. Everyone is extremely tired of COVID-19 and the public health requirements that we all need to continue to follow. Thank you for all you’re doing to help us have a successful spring semester.

Sincerely,

Cheri LeBlanc, MD
Executive Director, Habif Health and Wellness Center
